Square glasses

The selection of glasses is not for everyone. At Visionet you get a model that is both original and comfortable and of high quality. If you are interested in rectangular glasses and are seduced by this style, you know that this type is easier to wear for certain morphology and face shapes. More information before buying your square eyeglasses.

Underline your appearance

You have your recipe in hand and are about to buy glasses? But you hesitate before the wide range of models, materials and colours? While you wait for your visit to your optician, here are some useful tips if you want square eyeglasses. Eyewear or sunglasses must first and foremost underline your strengths and your personality, regardless of style and material. Glasses made of wood, plastic, oval or round, should be well chosen. Some eyewear can even enhance your appearance or the appearance of your face, as well as your eyes, by adding an aesthetic touch to the final look.

The glasses must bring your eyes and complexion in line with your face. Subtle colours and refined surfaces add value to the square glasses for your look. However, they are more suitable for certain face shapes. Before you look at this point, you should also know that you should choose the perfect shade for your glasses. Some people prefer neutral colours, even dull ones, to make sure they can keep up with the morphology of their face. However, everyone has a complexion and appearance that harmonizes perfectly with a well-defined colour palette. Depending on the shape and colour of your eyes, the colour of your skin and your hair, choose the frame colour that is best. Keep in mind that you should focus on the colour that softens and brightens your face, while choosing a hue that reduces the effects of wrinkles and hides dark or eye shadows. Tighten the colour that brightens and highlights your face without hiding it.

Square glasses for a round face

Each face has its own characteristics and the corresponding glasses. Choose glasses that you will not regret for your face shape. How? First, determine your face shape to see if the square glasses match your morphology. Put your hair back and stand in front of a mirror. Then paint the outline of your face on the mirror without considering the top of the head. Their facial shape is defined by the skin area, which stops at the level of the hair root. Even if you do not know the shape of your face exactly with this method, you can use your photo ID. Of course, each person is unique, but the shape of your face approaches one of the defined categories, namely Square, Diamond, Long, Heart, Oval, Rectangle, and Circular.

If the shape of your face is round, you should choose a pair of eyewear that suits your needs, that is, if you want to emphasize or reduce the roundness. In fact, if you want to increase your round face significantly and emphasize the youthful side, choose a spherical model, including round glasses with fine and rounded frames. On the other hand, if you want to balance that impression and reduce the roundness of your face, you need to structure it by wearing geometrically shaped glasses that lift the circular aspect of the face. Thanks to their stretched shapes and angles, the rectangular glasses provide the optimal solution for achieving a certain balance in your appearance. The round face has a rounded cheek, a semi-circular chin and protruding cheekbones. The right choice is to move in the direction of square shapes. Basically, it is not recommended to give your face more roundness to avoid the appearance of a "balloon". So, prefer the square glasses to fade this round and find a good compromise.

Maintain your rectangular glasses

Have you selected your glasses according to your morphology and bought square glasses to highlight your beautiful round face? It's time to talk about the care. Perfect glasses without fingerprints, dust or micro scratches must be cleaned regularly. Caring for your glasses extends their lifespan and provides comfort and safety to your eyes. Follow these instructions to maintain the good condition of your glasses:

  • - Keep your glasses well: Your glasses, especially your spectacle frames and lenses, deserve the utmost care and attention to keep them intact and in good condition. Remember to keep your glasses in a case that you received when you purchased. You should also keep your glasses away from a radiator, fireplace or other heat sources, as it may bend due to the high temperature.
  • - Protect your glasses: The lenses of your glasses may be exposed to any wear in connection with use. Like any material, glasses can be broken or damaged. To avoid these incidents and possible micro-scratches, place your glasses in their protective covers and avoid laying them on the lens side.
  • - Clean your glasses: You need to care for your glasses and lenses to remove dust and fingerprints that affect your vision. It is recommended to wipe the glasses with a microfiber cloth to avoid damaging the lenses. Wipe off before each use to prevent accumulation of dirt. You will find this microfibre cloth with your optician, who also gave you one in the case when buying glasses. There are also suitable sprays for glasses, but if you do not have them, you can wash them in cold water and liquid soap. Be careful not to use hot water that will damage the treatment of the lenses. Certain papers and products containing aggressive chemical compounds are not recommended, eg. Bleach or paper towels that bleach the glasses.
