How do I find the ideal frame color?

Just like the shape of the glasses, the color of the frame must be carefully selected. In fact, there are colors that are only suitable for certain people. Learn how to find the perfect color for your glasses.

Eye color as a basic criterion

If you have hazel-brown eyes, bright havana or amber frames are great. The color adds a subtle touch and dresses your look to highlight your eyes. Havana-colored frames with brown or green shadows can add the necessary contrast and make your eyes look bigger.

People with green eyes naturally have a charming look. Recommended are strong and warm colors that emphasize this look. Dark brown and khaki eyeglass frames are great for this role, but silver or gray frames are also suitable. If you prefer something unusual, nothing speaks against a real wooden pair of glasses.

For black eyes, the challenge is to soften the look. In this case, it is better to turn to a sober color such as pink or beige. On the other hand, blue-eyed people can play with lighter colors. The goal is either to contrast this seductive look or to bring harmony to the face. For the first case, dark purple or burgundy color give a good result. When it comes to supporting the look, do not hesitate to try silver or orange.

People with brown eyes can be lucky, as they can almost wear all colors and achieve a modern look. Golden frames, for example, are interesting to illuminate the eyes during a romantic dinner for two. During a shopping spree women can put on rosy colors or warm greens. For men, the color Havana brown and horn is one of the most popular.

The complexion and the appearance of the hair

Dark glasses are generally recommended for people with light or pale skin. Conversely, those with chocolate or dark skin should choose less warm colors. However, there are no fixed rules regarding the colors of the glasses and the complexion. It is just a general recommendation to put on a color in contrast to the complexion. This is how you can enhance your look.

To a tanned or naturally darker complexion a transparent frame, gold and silver fit very well. The idea here is to shape the look regardless of the shape of the face. If you have a dull skin, you can afford patterned frames with bright colors. Attention, bright and vibrant colors are not compatible with a square face.

Glasses in purple or blue tones are recommended for reddish pale skin. Green is also suitable for this skin type. Otherwise, it is ideal for fair skin to choose a color that emphasizes the features. Therefore, do not hesitate to consider bright colors like magenta, plum or shiny black.

In terms of hair color, the choice for the glasses remains rather limited. The dark colors perfectly frame a face with brown hair. For red hair, red and orange tend to fade, darker tones are preferred. With blond hair, of course, a warmer effect must be sought. People with this type of hair can use the frames in havana and pastel colors.

Frame color and clothing styles

The glasses are a fashion accessory by themselves. It is important to know how to adapt it to your style. For sports enthusiasts, for example, neutral outfits are kings in this discipline. This makes it difficult to choose the color of the frame. In this case, there are two options. The first is to get a little closer to the colors of the sportswear to create a harmonious look. The second option is to favor colorful frames. The idea is to create an eccentric trend.

To get a more professional look, we need to put on glasses that look a little harder. That's why black plastic frames remain popular in this case as well. This color not only offers a working girl style for women, but is also currently in fashion. Otherwise, a classic metal frame is enough. This emphasizes the look while offering a more mature appearance.

In short, there is not really a rule today to respect the choice of frame color. However, do not forget that the glasses are also an accessory that reflects your personality and your taste. As you pick the color of the frame, you know how to highlight your face and the rest of the look.
