Manufacturer warranty — frame and lenses (black and white), modern composition

Eyeglasses Manufacturer Warranty: Conditions and Peace of Mind

Eyeglasses are not only a fashion accessory but also an essential tool that impacts everyday life. When investing in a frame, it’s natural to expect assurance about the quality and durability of the product. At Visionet, quality is a top priority, which is why we offer a 2-year warranty on all our frames and corrective lenses, ensuring a worry-free purchase.

Why a manufacturer warranty Details & conditions Adaptation guarantee How to benefit Out of warranty FAQ Contact

1 Why is the manufacturer warranty on eyeglasses essential?

When choosing a new pair of glasses, several factors come into play, such as comfort and style, but quality remains paramount. Despite all precautions taken, manufacturing defects can occur. Our 2-year manufacturer warranty gives you peace of mind: if a defect is detected, your equipment can be repaired or replaced (the manufacturer decides whether it’s a partial or full frame replacement).

2 Manufacturer warranty: what is and isn’t covered

We understand how disappointing it can be to receive glasses with a manufacturing defect. That’s why every frame and corrective lens undergoes a strict six-step quality control process before shipping. This care ensures optimal precision and clarity, free from scratches or imperfections. If you notice a defect upon receipt, contact us immediately. Subject to certain conditions, we will replace the affected lenses free of charge.

What is generally covered:

  • Lens defects: cracks not caused by mishandling, coatings peeling or cracking without signs of impact.
  • Frame defects: loose screws, broken nose pads or hinges, broken welds without signs of impact.
  • Logos/decorative elements detached: oxidation or discoloration due to a manufacturing defect (excluding exposure to harmful external elements).

What is not covered:

  • Exposure: Excessive exposure to heat, cold, or water.
  • Mishandling: Rough handling or improper cleaning (anything other than lukewarm water with a microfiber cloth or tissue).
  • Wear and tear: Regular, everyday wear and tear isn’t covered.

3 Corrective lenses adaptation guarantee

At Visionet, we want you to feel perfectly comfortable with your new glasses. That’s why we offer a 2-month adaptation guarantee. If you cannot adapt to your correction, we will replace your lenses free of charge, once.

This guarantee applies in case of an error by Visionet or your ophthalmologist. Your original prescription must be less than 6 months old. Your visual comfort is our commitment!

See our General Terms and Conditions of Sale for full details.

4 How to benefit from the Visionet manufacturer warranty?

The process is simple: in case of a problem, email us with your order number, a detailed description of the issue, the circumstances of the incident, and photos showing the defect. After review, our customer service team will provide instructions for quick and effective resolution.

5 What if the manufacturer warranty does not apply?

If your equipment is more than 2 years old, or if the problem is due to an accident, don’t hesitate to contact us by email with photos. We will then offer a repair solution or an appropriate quote, whether it’s for replacing a part or the entire frame.

For an alternative solution if the frame does not suit you, consult the right of withdrawal.

6 FAQ on the manufacturer warranty for frames and lenses

Are eyeglass frames covered by the manufacturer warranty?

Yes! Our manufacturer warranty covers defects such as loose screws, broken nose pads, and weak hinges.

How long does the manufacturer warranty last for eyeglasses?

The warranty applies for two years from the date of purchase for frames and corrective lenses, under our conditions.

Can I get a refund if my glasses don’t suit me?

Yes, apart from a defect covered by the manufacturer warranty, you can exercise your right of withdrawal within the legal time frame.

What is considered a manufacturing defect by the manufacturer?

Any material or assembly non-compliance with the manufacturer’s standard: lenses with optical or coating defects, faulty screws/hinges, premature oxidation linked to a material defect.
